What are those tusks anyway?

What are those tusks anyway?

Have you ever wondered what the tusks in our logo mean?

When we started Wuxly we were originally called Wooly Mammoth, the name came from the obvious, the Wooly Mammoth who are extinct relatives of today’s elephants. They lived during the last ice age, and they may have died off when the weather became warmer, and their food supply changed. Humans may also be partly responsible for their disappearance due to hunting.

We had later shortened our name to Wooly but quickly realized that didn’t make much sense since we are a vegan company with no animal materials in our products (Duh?!). Still wanting to pay homage to mammoth, we kept the tusks for our logo and changed the name to Wuxly!

At Wuxly, we want to live one with the planet and animals, therefore we strive to be the best we can with our carbon footprint, manufacturing completely in Canada, using the best sustainable and bio-degradable materials on the market and of course being vegan and cruelty free!!

New to the Wuxly team are the Comox, Juneau, Eko and Eka - sustainable, vegan and super warm parkas.
