So glad I spent the extra dough
This vest is of an otherworldly quality. My friend told me, "Just spend $40 on Amazon, it's the same thing!" I've worn his. His recommendation is laughable. The Wuxly vests are INSANELY good. They create the perfect base insulation layer.
I'm one of those maniacs that goes out for runs year-round unless it's dangerously snowy/slushy. -40ºC doesn't even bother me unless it's really slushy. This vest is my go-to up until -15ºC. After -15ºC it's slightly too cold for a vest and I need to go with a full-length sweater + windbreaker because the temperature causes skin damage to my arms. However, -15ºC, this vest, and a nice merino shirt? Hot DAMN. I've worn it everywhere! Walking, running, anything.
The vests do fit just a bit larger than you might expect. I'm 6'7" and 215lbs. I ordered the XL and it had a bit too much extra material in the abdomen area and has some strange puffiness as a result. If you are sometimes an L, sometimes an XL... go with the L.
I actually screwed my order up and ordered the wrong size, and instead of going through the hoops of shipping it back to them, and then having another one shipped back to me... I just biked down Queen Street to their location and we did a socially-distant, mask-adorned swap. They're an outgoing and helpful team and are officially my go-to for all things winter gear. Another reason for that is the badass tusk logo... the logo is so unique! I get so many compliments on my red vest.

Vest is so well made with good generous length large pockets and most important very warm. I use it alone but also medium size allows me to layer under it and then it layer under parka when very cold. I appreciate opportunity for carbon neutral shipping.
