Wuxly Trade Up Program – Procyon Wildlife Centre Partnership
Winter will be here before we know it. If you have an old down filled and/or fur trimmed parka laying around and are looking to elevate your wardrobe with a new Wuxly style, we want to help!
Wuxly has partnered with various shelters around the city that will gladly take your previously loved parka and provide it to people in need, but our trade-up program doesn’t stop there! We also donate the fur lined trims to animal welfare shelters, such as Procyon Wildlife Centre.
The Procyon Wildlife Centre helps to rehabilitate orphaned animals such as deer, raccoons, squirrels, birds, porcupines, opossums, rabbits and even foxes. Animals end up at the facility when they are found injured or stranded by a member of the public. A Procyon volunteer will pick up the animal from the location they were found and after the animal goes through rehab at their facility, they are released back to the same pick-up spot. While at the facility, the animals find comfort from the donated fur trims as it mimics the feel of their mothers.
You can find more information on Procyon here.
If your gently used parka is collecting dust in your closet, give it a new life! And to reward your good deed, we will provide you with a $100 credit to go towards your new Wuxly parka, a win-win for everyone! Click here for more details on the program.
