Our Proven Process
CEO & FOUNDER WUXLY
The Wuxly Movement began in 2012 when pro-football player James Yurichuk moved from mild BC to chilly Toronto. Seeking a winter coat for his girlfriend Daniela, who was immigrating from Brazil, James couldn’t find a Parka that met his standards and values.
An idea is born
When James couldn’t find the perfect Parka for Daniela, he took matters into his own hands. With help from his friend, master tailor Anthony Debartolo, James used Canada’s manufacturing heritage and sustainable fabrics to create the first Wuxly parka. They continue crafting Canadian-made outerwear, keeping people warm in body and soul.
Jake Gaudaur Veterans’ Award
In 2014, James received the Jake Gaudaur Veterans Award, honoring players who embody Canadian Veterans’ values. Raised to respect veterans, James was deeply honored. He also led community initiatives, including anti-bullying campaigns, volunteer coaching, and promoting women’s football leagues.
Football career
Drafted 4th overall by the BC Lions in 2009, James Yurichuk spent four seasons honing leadership and tenacity on the field before joining the Toronto Argonauts in 2013. His fearless approach led to a Grey Cup win in 2009. These leadership qualities now drive his vision and direction at Wuxly.
Happily Ever After?
In case you’re wondering, Daniela loved the Parka. James and Daniela would go on to get married and currently reside in Toronto with their four children.
